In 1\u00ba BB English class students have been working on a life skills project for about a month which has clearly improved their oral communication skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to psychologists 30 days is about the time it takes to really develop a new habit because that\u2019s how long it takes for our brains to shift to a new direction. It\u2019s a great way to try new things, keep life variety high and undertake new challenges without putting too much pressure on yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So my students have chosen a challenge that requires effort: taking up a new hobby or giving up a bad habit. First, they presented the project one by one in front of the class, giving their personal reasons for doing it, but also setting realistic goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, after a month they have given their feedback in class about the process, their achievements and failures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally they have created infographies to express what they have learnt during this process in a really creative way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les avantages d’un d\u00e9fi de 30 jours<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Dans le cours d’anglais de 1\u00ba BB, les \u00e9l\u00e8ves travaillent depuis environ un mois sur un projet de comp\u00e9tences de vie qui a clairement am\u00e9lior\u00e9 leurs capacit\u00e9s en communication orale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Selon les psychologues, 30 jours est le temps n\u00e9cessaire pour d\u00e9velopper une nouvelle habitude, car c’est le temps qu’il faut \u00e0 notre cerveau pour s’orienter dans une nouvelle direction. C’est un excellent moyen d’essayer de nouvelles choses et de relever de nouveaux d\u00e9fis sans se mettre trop de pression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nos \u00e9l\u00e8ves ont donc choisi un d\u00e9fi qui demande un effort : se lancer dans un nouveau hobby ou abandonner une mauvaise habitude. Dans un premier temps, ils ont pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 le projet un par un devant la classe, en donnant leurs raisons personnelles de le faire, mais aussi en se fixant des objectifs r\u00e9alistes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ensuite, un mois plus tard, ils ont donn\u00e9 leur avis en classe sur le processus, leurs r\u00e9ussites et leurs \u00e9checs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enfin, ils ont cr\u00e9\u00e9 des infographies pour exprimer de mani\u00e8re cr\u00e9ative ce qu’ils ont appris au cours de cette exp\u00e9rience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
