Bruges a medieval city

During our History classes in 5ème, we have studied the Rise of Towns in the Middle Ages.

We looked at how a medieval city was built and grew. We specifically looked at how Bruges became a very important trade city. 

For this case-study, we used today’s maps of Bruges to discover the strategic position of Bruges in the Middle Ages and talk about the specific buildings remaining from the Middle Ages, such as the Belfry and the covered market.
